Ingredients
1 tablespoon of olive oil (optional)
1 block of (16-ounce) firm tofu
2 tablespoons of nutritional yeast
1/2 teaspoon of salt (more to taste)
1/4 teaspoon of turmeric
1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
2 tablespoons of non-dairy, unsweetened, and unflavored milk (i.e., almond, oat, cashew, soy)
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat (can make oil-free with a little water instead, still tastes great).
Mash or crumble the tofu right in the pan.
Stir frequently for about 3-4 minutes, until the water from the tofu is mostly gone.
Add the nutritional yeast, salt, turmeric, and garlic powder.
Cook and stir constantly for about 5 minutes.
Pour your choice of non-dairy milk into the pan, and stir to mix.
Serve immediately with breakfast items like toast, sliced avocado, or steamed kale/spinach.
